Claressa Shields added another statement victory to her historic boxing career, stopping Kaye Scott by sixth-round TKO on August 15 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The victory marked Shields’ return to the middleweight division and improved her professional record to 19-0 with four knockouts. Shields also reclaimed the unified middleweight championships in the process.
Shields entered the bout after moving down from heavyweight, reportedly dropping from 198 pounds to 160 in just 14 weeks. She dominated Scott before the fight was stopped in the sixth round.
Already regarded as one of the greatest women’s boxers in history, Shields continues to add to her legacy as she pursues more championship challenges across multiple weight divisions.
