The Soul Train Awards are officially back, and this year fans will have a bigger say in who takes home the trophies.
BET announced the 2026 nominees Monday, introducing two new fan-voted categories as part of the show’s return. R&B/Soul Song of the Year features nominees including Brent Faiyaz, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller, Daniel Caesar, Kehlani, Tems and Tyla.
A new Spotify RNB X International Artist category also recognizes artists taking R&B to a global audience, including Tems, FLO, Cleo Sol, Odeal, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Tiana Major9 and kwn. Fans can vote through Spotify for that category.
Fans can also help rank the 20 Greatest R&B Songs of the 2020s, with the final countdown set to air during the Soul Train Awards red-carpet show, “Back on Track.” Voting is open through October 16.
The awards return Friday, November 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET, with a first-ever simulcast on CBS. Anthony Anderson will host the ceremony from Chicago, the city where Don Cornelius launched Soul Train more than 50 years ago.
After a three-year break, the Soul Train Awards are bringing R&B and soul back to television, this time with the fans helping decide who gets the spotlight.
