The legendary Street Fighter video game franchise is making its return to the big screen with a new live-action film arriving in theaters October 16, 2026.
Produced by Legendary Entertainment and Capcom and distributed by Paramount Pictures, Street Fighter is set in 1993 and follows longtime fighters Ryu and Ken Masters as they are recruited by Chun-Li for the World Warrior Tournament. The competition takes a darker turn as the fighters become caught in a conspiracy that forces them to confront each other and their pasts.
Andrew Koji stars as Ryu, with Noah Centineo as Ken Masters and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. The ensemble also includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is being produced as a theatrical action adventure and was filmed for IMAX. The project marks another attempt to bring Capcom’s iconic fighting-game universe to live action following previous film adaptations.
With Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and a packed roster of fan-favorite characters heading back into the fight, Street Fighter is set to bring the franchise’s signature martial arts battles to a new generation of moviegoers.
